How to update
Notes on Version Upgrade
• Once the edge device is upgraded to V2, it cannot be reverted to the previous version.
• Edge devices upgraded to V2 cannot be connected to Local Console versions earlier than Local Edition v1.4.1.
How to update Local Console
- Uninstall the previous version first, and then install the new version of Local Console.
For more information, see Chapter 2. Installing Local Edition in the Local Edition Get Started guide for your device, which is included in the Local Edition download file. - Version Upgrade
- We have implemented a version upgrade based on a new architecture (hereinafter referred to as V2). By reviewing the software architecture of the edge devices and Local Console, the responsiveness of the user interface has been improved.
- With the V2 upgrade, the communication specifications between the Local Console and edge devices have been changed. Therefore, edge firmware compatible with V2 and Brain Builder (v25.04.05 or later) are required.
- Put your edge devices in setup mode and then re-register them to Local Console.

How to update Brain Builder for AITRIOS
- Run the Brain Builder for AITRIOS installer which is included in the Local Edition download file.
- You do not need to uninstall the previous version. Your current licenses and projects will be carried over.
- Note: If you have a trial license or other license, wait to activate it until after your current license expires.
Brain Builder for AITRIOS Free Trial
- The license period is 30 days.
- The limit for datasets is 5, and the limit for model exports is 5 times.
- The Anomaly Hi-Fi AI model type of Brain Builder is not available in the Local Edition.

1. Updating the edge device firmware fails
Issue
Deployment status shows "Error" for the edge device on the Deployment page in Local Edition, and the firmware fails to update.

Solution
If updating the edge device firmware fails, try the following procedure:
- Select "Deploy" again to retry.
- If step 1 fails, then unplug and then plug in the power supply for the edge device to restart the device, and then select "Deploy" again to retry the firmware update.
- If step 2 fails, then do a factory reset to the edge device. See section "A.2. Factory Reset" in the startup guide for your edge device:
